Mission & Vision

Our mission is to nurture the whole child – mind, body, and spirit – through Christ-centered education. We strive to inspire curiosity, build strong character, and prepare students to serve with excellence, compassion, and faith.”

Our vision is to cultivate a community where every student feels seen, valued, and loved, growing into lifelong learners and leaders who shine God’s light in the world.

Our History

Founded in 1980, Cedar Valley Adventist Academy began with a simple yet powerful vision: to provide Christ-centered education where children could grow in knowledge, faith, and service. What started as a small church school has grown into a thriving community that served students from Pre-K through high school.

For over 45 years, our school has partnered with families and churches to nurture generations of students academically, spiritually, and socially. Each step of our journey reflects God’s faithfulness – from our first graduating class in 1992, to the addition of STEM programs, the Von Nauden Pavilion, and our new Lacrosse team!

Today, Cedar Valley Adventist Academy continues to uphold the Seventh-Day Adventist commitment to holistic education: preparing young people not only for success in college and career, but also for a life of service, leadership, and devotion to Christ.

A Message from Our Principal

“Welcome to Cedar Valley Adventist Academy! It is a blessing and a privilege to serve as principal of a school where Christ is at the center of everything we do. At CVAA, we believe that every child is a unique creation of God – gifted with talents, purpose, and the ability to shine His light in the world.

Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to nurturing not only the mind, but also the heart and spirit. Through a balanced program of academics, faith, service, and extracurricular opportunities, we aim to prepare students to grow as lifelong learners, compassionate leaders, and disciples of Christ.

Whether you are just beginning your journey with us or continuing to grow in our school family, I invite you to partner with us in supporting your child’s development. Together, we can create a community where every student feels seen, valued, and loved – ready to impact the world for God’s glory.

Thank you for entrusting us with the precious responsibility of educating your child. May God’s blessings be with you and your family as we walk this path of faith and learning together.

With gratitude and prayer,

Andrew Lawson
